Pete Wilson

Background:  I started out on school radio and was later asked to join Mid Ulster hospital radio. After working in lots of jobs, including a summer job in Buckfast Abbey (yes where the monks make the wine!) I came home and got a job on TLR 828 (the old SixFM studio). From there I moved to Carrick FM, Kixx 106, Portaferry radio and Cool FM, before moving away from radio altogether, only to return a couple of years later to work on Q97 as a weekend presenter.

While at Q97, I was asked if I would like to do Q102 breakfast show and I jumped at the chance. After 4 years of getting up early I was moved to drive, before returning to Q97 once more.

I'm now back in the studio of my first paid radio job. Big circle, eh!


Favourite song of all time: What a question! I really don't have one. I like all sorts of music from heavy metal to country, it just depends on my mood. Can I mention a few bands? I will any way:
